***Rudolf Hess' Personal Items***

1 Visor Cap, Gold Party Tie Pin and Signed Letter. The visor cap has a gold eagle, gold piping and chincords. The special cloth label on the inside has Hess' NSDAP member #16 stamped onto the surface. Exceptionally high quality. The party eagle tie pin is solid gold. According to the organization, book of the NSDAP, only the Fuhrer and the "Deputy Fuhrer" were entitled to wear the gold NSDAP eagle tie pin. Hess was next in line if Adolf Hitler died. This unique artifact was obtained with other personal belongings of Hess. The hat and gold party tie pin were part of a grouping of "Rudolf Hess memorabilia" that was presented at the 1991 MAX VI show. This display won the coveted "Max Life Charter Members" award. A book of photos accompanies the hat. Also, a video copy of the 1991 Max show, (which shows the complete collection) has been included. (3 items). Ex+

2 Presentation Cigarette Case - a gift, from Hitler's secretary to Hitler's chauffer. Marked "925" and maker's name. Approx. 3" X 3", front of case has enamel inlaid (sun burst), with a small party type enamel pin, fastened by 2 hollow rivets- similar to the German cross rivets. Back is engraved:" Erich Kempka, in remembrance of the Journey to Prag, Yours, Johanna". History states that Hitler fired one of his chauffers for having an affair with one of his secretaries. This is a rare find. It was found at a PA. flea market. After we researched the names, we realized that we had stambled on a real piece of history. This workmanship cannot be found, must be seen to be appreciated. Even the latch is set with a jeweled green stone. Ex

3 General's tunic, pants and hat - Maker's label, with General's name, machine sewn in inside pocket. This General upgraded his tunic when he was promoted to Major-General. It was common practice for the taylor performing the upgrading to cut out the former taylor's name from the label. ( the General's name was left on the original label). The new taylor sewed his label in the inside top-back of the tunic. There is a delweiss ( Mountain Troop) patch sewn on right sleeve. Loops for a ribbon bar and several medals. Riding pants with wide red stripes, elastic still intact. Visor Hat is the crusher type, maker's name looks like HPC in a circle, under it is D.R.G.M. 1419757. The diamond was removed. Cloth concave with gold metal eagle.
Tunic, hat, and pants are almost mint- due to normal wear. If you look really hard, you may find a moth hole or two. You can find this General's name in the rank listings.
*Bonus* I am including a photocopy of him wearing this uniform, plus a bio. of his service

4 CIVIL WAR BUTTONS - 13 buttons most are confederate. This treasure was discovered under the floorboards of a South Carolina homeowner. When he began researching the history of his new home, local historians told him that the house served as a field hospital during the Civil War. Union and Confederate soldiers were administered there. This is how buttons of both armies came to be housed in one building. I am not a Civil War collector, so I am offering this collection as a lot. I am told this grouping is worth in excess of $5000. Buttons show their age, still with very good detail

5 CIVIL WAR GENERAL’S TELESCOPE - Brass, 6 ¾ “ closed, 18” opened. Has raised CSA, ¾ surrounded with raised wreath. This piece was found with the buttons. It was wrapped in the remnants of a General’s overcoat. This is a museum quality piece. Excellent condition for its age, with fitted brass lens cover. Due to it’s age and fragile condition of the glass, if it is taken apart, the guarantee is void. This is an American treasure that should be placed in a museum
